Refund and cancellation policy
Last updated 1 November 2026
We want you to feel safe commissioning us. This policy explains what happens if you change your mind or are not happy with the work. Your written project agreement sets out the exact stages and fees for your project and takes priority over this page.
How payment works
You get a fixed written quote before any work starts. Fees are split into stages, and each stage is tied to work you review and approve. You never pay for the whole project up front.
Cancelling before work starts
If you cancel before we begin work, we refund everything you have paid, in full.
Your 14-day cooling-off period
If you are a consumer and you agreed the project online, by email or by phone, you have 14 days from the day the agreement is made to cancel without giving a reason. If you asked us to start work within those 14 days and then cancel, we refund what you paid minus a fair amount for the work already done.
Stopping part way through
- You can stop the project at any stage by telling us in writing.
- Stages you have already approved are not refundable, and you keep that work.
- For the stage in progress, you pay only for the work done up to the day you cancel. We refund the rest of any payment for that stage.
If you are not happy with a draft
Tell us what is wrong and we will revise it to match the brief we agreed. The revision rounds included are set out in your quote. If we still cannot deliver what was agreed, we refund the payment for that stage.
How to ask for a refund
Email us at enquiries@ghostwritingservice.co.uk or message us on WhatsApp. We confirm within two working days and pay any refund within 14 days, back to the payment method you used.
Your legal rights
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights, including your right under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 to have services carried out with reasonable care and skill. Business clients are covered by their written agreement.
